These two Chamberings are similar in usage. however the Lapua beats out the norma velocity wise. With a 30 inch barrel in both, my findings show a 230gr in a norma improved thrown at about 3075-3150 fps compared the the lapua imp at 3200-3250. I have a 30-338 Lapua Imp and it in a 33" barrel I shoot 3350fps with 230 Bergers. I also have a 30-338 Norma Imp and I shoot 230's 3045fps in a 30" barrel. The main reason for me going with the 338 Norma Mag over a 338 Lapua was the usable case capacity while DBM feeding, and the positive reviews that I have read about it. I also owned a 338 EDGE and wasn't impressed with any brass that was available at the time (nosler and Rem). My gun liked to chew them up.. Dude wipes lawsuit
From the little i know the 300 WM will be very close to the 338 Lapua down range. I have both rifle and I like the 300WM much more as I can afford to actually shoot it (don't reload yet). E.
