Well its true first time I did just that and rushed the last half and ... IMO, old NCLEX is more memorization and test taking strategies, and new NCLEX is more critical thinking. I think that will set you up to be a better nurse in the long run. Remember, technically you need a 50% to pass the NCLEX. Most of your nursing exams will be significantly more challenging than the NCLEX. I took ATI through school and Kaplan on my own but haven't taken NCLEX yet. I think that I would probably say that ATI is a LITTLE easier than Kaplan, and Kaplan (to me) was pretty close to ...The ATI PN predictor gave me a 99% chance of passing NCLEX PN, raw score of 88%. Passed NCLEX first time, cut off at 85 questions. I liked ATI most of the time. The NCLEX felt very similar to ATI to me.That means the answer to is the NCLEX hard is more like a response “it’s hard, but you will pass the first time if you study.”.
