While RF Ele Pierce is indeed a loss in dps from straight Ele Piercing, it can be more ammo efficient and aim-forgiving which is nice in multiplayer. In most cases, Pierce Ele is going to be the best option, however on some compact monsters like Goss you'll probably do better dmg with RF Ele. Id love to know what numbers you are hitting with this build on the training pole. I know its not 100% indicative of a hunt because the ratios are off but still will give some insight.
