Project zomboid overweight - if it isnt for rp or challenge then dont pick obese or overweight. just like in real life losing weight is alot harder than gaining weight. pick very underweight.if you want points. when you have overweight or obese trait, you recover endurance slower and use up more endurance in physical activities. this is a big challenge because this means you get alot less done each day.

 
Out of shape is a dynamic trait. When you select it at character creation, it gives -2 fitness, but any time your fitness is 2-4 for any reason it shows up on your info screen. It has no effect if you don't start with it; it's just an indicator of low fitness. It goes away when you reach 5 fitness. Which is to say it's because you're overweight ....
