From the research I had done, I believe the 11-48 was the last 16ga Remington made on a 16 or 20ga frame. I think the 870's and the 1100's were all made on 12ga frames. My 11-48 16ga is very well balanced, weighs 6.75lbs and shoots wonderfully!Found a Remington Sportsman 48 in 20ga at a local dealer.
